dots

When pets fall ill or aren’t feeling their best, swift and precise diagnosis is crucial for promptly initiating the most effective treatment. That’s why at AESC, we house a state-of-the-art in-clinic diagnostic laboratory, equipped with cutting-edge technology. This ensures we can gather comprehensive information about your pet’s health condition quickly and accurately, enabling us to begin administering the best possible treatment without delay.

Our in-house Laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art IDEXX products, enabling us to conduct comprehensive diagnostic tests. This includes running chemistry panels to assess metabolic functions, complete blood counts (CBC) to analyze Red Blood Count Cells and White Blood Count Cells, and Coagulation testing to evaluate clotting times. Additionally, we offer urinalysis to gauge various health indicators.

Our advanced diagnostics capabilities extend to a number of specialized testing some being:

  • CPL (Canine Pancreatic Lipase): Helps diagnose pancreatitis in dogs.
  • 4dx (4-in-1 Test): Screens for heartworm disease, Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis, and Anaplasmosis.
  • Feline Triple: Tests for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).
  • FPL (Feline Panleukopenia): Detects the presence of the feline parvovirus.
  • Parvo and Giardia Testing: Essential for detecting these common gastrointestinal infections in pets.

Furthermore, our in-house array of diagnostic tools enables us to perform digital radiology and ultrasound imaging for further diagnostics. The quick turnaround time of our in-house testing makes it possible for our veterinarian to provide you with a diagnosis and start treatment on the same day.

Some health conditions may not be obvious during an external examination. For this reason, we conduct in-house diagnostic tests to get an accurate picture of your pet’s overall health. Our commitment to thorough diagnostics ensures that we can provide accurate and timely diagnoses for your pet’s well-being.

Radiology

AESC offers cutting-edge veterinary diagnostic technology, including digital radiography, which enables us to delve into internal organ examinations and evaluate injuries or illnesses. This technology proves highly advantageous in diagnosing fractures, pinpointing the size and location of tumors or swallowed foreign objects, measuring organ size for disease detection, diagnosing pneumonia, identifying pregnancies, detecting bladder stones, chronic arthritis, and more.

Digital radiography offers painless, safe, and non-invasive imaging. It swiftly provides clear, precise images of areas of concern, minimizing the need for multiple retakes and ensuring accurate and efficient patient assessments. Additionally, the use of very low doses of radiation makes it safe for pregnant females and young pets.

Unlike traditional x-rays, digital radiography allows for enhanced visualization, magnification, and digital sharing of images with specialists if necessary. This capability enhances our ability to expedite and tailor treatment plans for your pets’ specific needs.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound stands as an invaluable non-invasive diagnostic tool. It allows for clear and intricately detailed images surpassing those of x-rays. Its capabilities extend to pinpointing tumors, assessing organ function, detecting fluid collections, and accurately evaluating pregnancies. When conventional physical exams and lab analyses fall short in evaluating your pet’s condition, ultrasound empowers us to delve inside their body for a comprehensive assessment.
