What Our Pet Parents Say

We were instructed to bring our cat in for an emergency visit after him showing signs of a UTI late Saturday evening. The staff was patient and efficient during our check-in process. The entire experience was very emotional and scary, but we are grateful for the doctors and team for being quick to treat and diagnose his issue. The fee was expected and matched the nature of the emergency service and care. They sent us home that night with antibiotics, detailed instructions, and encouragement to call if we had any other questions. Would absolute recommend them to anyone who is in the same situation as us.

They were super busy on a Sunday (3+ hour wait to be seen after dropping my cat off). I ended up picking up and taking my cat elsewhere, as he was able to get the care he needed quicker. The staff here were very accommodating, all things considered.

If nothing else, this experience tells me that Northwest Arkansas is undeserved when it comes to urgent care for pets. Here's hoping for the best going forward.

Although my visit to the emergency vet was for the very sad task of having my sweet 16 and 1/2, year old girl Lola euthanized, I left feeling cared for by the staff. They explained the process to me and gave me all the time I wanted to just be with my sweet dog and breathe her in and kiss her and sob into her fur both before and after the procedure. I felt their compassion and it resonates with me still. Thank you to the staff at Animal emergency vet.

This place was fantastic! Got us right in on thanksgiving morning for emergency care of our poor baby and we’re very gentle and conscientious of his pain and our worry and very efficient and professional! They have wifi and drinks and clean facilities and very competent friendly staff. They explained everything upfront in east to understand detail, gave us all the options very professionally and in a heartfelt way. For the emergent nature of the services the price was very reasonable and expected. Fast, good knowledgeable care at this level is hard to find. I would highly recommend the doctors here to anyone who loves their fur-babies!❤️ They get a thumbs up from this family!

From the receptionist to the doctor. I can't thank them enough for their pure compassion to a situation that was completely devastating. Would recommend for animal emergencies.

Yesterday my dog was seriously injured, it was Saturday so of-course our regular vet was closed so I had to take her here, the staff and the Vets are VERY nice and compassionate, I had called and told them I was coming and they met me at the front door as I came in with my dog, it was truly comforting to me to see how much they cared about my dog and handled a very stressful situation very professionally, I hope that I never HAVE to go here again, but if I do, I know my dog will always be in great hands! And that's worth more than anything!!!!!!!! Thank you guys for EVERYTHING you did for Katie yesterday!! She is doing a lot better!

We had to take our beloved 11 year old cat DiNozzo to them last night for an emergency situation that turned out to be congestive heart failure( he was our daughters therapy cat for her Austim, she adopted him when she was 12). They met us at the door and immediately took him back and then came back for permission to give him a pain shot. I’m so impressed with everyone who helped our baby. They were super sweet and quick to respond to his needs. Unfortunately we felt it best after speaking with the Dr to let our boy go. They explained everything in great detail and treated him without even mentioning anything about cost, ( which was only $390.00 which included euthanasia and cremation with a beautiful rosewood box and plaque). We were able to spend as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes .They also gave us a beautiful gift of his paw prints. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this emergency vet clinic, the staff and Dr are truly a godsend..Thank you to the staff and Dr for helping our sweet kitty. He’s with his sister Ziva romping and playing again.

This was the most helpful emergency vet- I have no idea what I would have done without their kindness. I have taken 2 dogs here and both times they were so extremely kind and helpful and reassuring. I highly recommend this vet for emergencies!

These people really care. I was so worried after calling vetco and being turned away I didn’t know what to do. The vet at the animal emergency center got Milo in very quickly and sent us home with a remedy and advice for free. They said we don’t want you to spend your money here when it’s not necessary. I love this place!

I have so much to say about this place. They have saved 2 of my animal's lives. Yeah it was kinda expensive (thanks, mom), but being a pet owner, and them being your baby...I know I'd pay whatever I had to help the only thing that has made me get through the roughest times (yes, paid mom back). It was my turn to help them. Such a good place to take your pets when the vets are all closed. They keep you informed, tell you your options, and keep open communication always. And they answered every question I had and didn't get upset about my spam calling to check on my babies.
Unfortunately, early this morning, we had to get my babygirl euthanized...we got moved to a bigger hospice/grieving room. Very comfortable atmosphere. They didn't hover. They didn't rush us. They had a blanket over my baby while she was on a metal crank table waiting for us to say our goodbyes. The medication went so quick. No more pain. They left the room to let us grieve. We asked if they cremated pets there, which yes they do. And I even asked for a paw print. I thought it would just be ink, but it was a foam thing with a slot for a picture! It's a 3d paw print! And I got to pick a nice box for her ashes. The whole experience was just over the top for what we were dealing with.
I am grateful for this team and definitely will use them in the future again if need be.
Rest in peace my babygirl, Syrus. Mommy and daddy will hold you forever in our hearts.
Shout out to the team - thank you guys for everything, you went above and beyond my expectations, and I am forever grateful for it.

Last night, I drove over an hour to see the vet on call here. My pup was very sick and my personal vet had advised me to go see the sprindale animal er. The ladies at the front were very helpful with making us comfortable and making sure all of our questions were answered. The vet there was so understanding and was by our side the entire time. The vet techs were also very helpful and very companionate. When it came time to say our goodbyes they made sure we had a room to relax in with our pup and let us take all the time we needed. I will be forever grateful for the staff and the experience I had last night. If I ever have to take another animal to the ER, I will most definitely make the drive to Springdale. Again, thank you.

We travel the country for my husband’s job. Our 12 year old yorkie has breathing problems. So took her to your place. The staff was top notch and very under standing. We don’t care where we are we will bring our dogs to this place every time. Thank you for your outstanding service

My 4 year old lab was chasing a fox and ran into some old cattle fence resulting in a pretty large laceration on her inner thigh. With no other vets open I rushed her here and was greeted with friendly faces. They took her back immediately to get her vitals. They happened to be very busy that night so the wait for her to see the vet was a few hours, understandably. The vet herself was very kind and explained the injury and procedure thoroughly. I picked her up the next morning. It was roughly $700 for the sedation cost, stitches and a drain, and her medications. I don’t know what I would’ve done without their care, and would trust them again with her in any emergency situation.

I brought my dog at 2am and they helped him out . Poor guy was in a lot of pain. The nurse and the doctor were really nice and explained everything step by step while they examined my dog. I was also really glad I didn't have to wait long. we were out there in and 1hr. Thank you.

At about 11:00pm I stepped on our 11 year old cat Minnie’s leg and new something was wrong. I called AES and they said to bring it in for them to do an X-Ray. I got there and it was busy. They went over prices and took Minnie back to be seen as quickly as they could. Pretty quickly I got a call asking me to come back in. When speaking to the Dr. Eaves, she was so compassionate and went over all scenarios. She was patient with my questions and went through the playbook. We decided on surgery and she helped set up the whole thing so we could get it taken care of quickly.
Minnie got a plate in her leg and came back from surgery. I took her out of the cage and noticed an unusual amount of blood on her. I called AES again (probably a little frantic) and they were very compassionate over the phone. Dr. Eaves was there again. She reassured me that it looked good and put a little bit of surgical glue on a Tiny spot. Again very compassionate.
I can’t say enough about the staff and Dr. Eaves really helped us get through a 24hr nightmare on the road to recovery. Was this expensive….yes. They were extremely honest with prices up front, and even refunded some items that ended up not being used or left behind.

My husband had to take our puppy in, because she jumped out of a car window when he was taking the dogs somewhere (yes, my husband is in the doghouse). She was limping and her left hind knee had started to swell a little. She also had a couple of scrapes from hitting the concrete. They were fast and professional. The vet was so nice and called me to explain everything he wanted to do to treat her, in an easy to understand, kind, and professional way. In addition to the treatments she received at the clinic, she was sent home with antibiotics, antiinflammatories, and pain medication, so she would be comfortable once she got home. Yes, this place costs more than other vets, but it is an emergency clinic. You would pay more for an ER visit for yourself, compared to your regular doctor visits. We thank you for taking such good care of our Luna!

We took our 11 year old pug in when she appeared to be having some type of seizure, unable to walk, breathing heavily. Her symptoms indicated that she was fighting for her life and suffering terribly. When we arrived, she was taken in immediately, examined thoroughly then the vet came to discuss the situation with us. She explained in detail what her opinion was and explained what the cost would be to try and get her through the night. Considering here age and other health issues, we decided it was time to let her go. Any one who has gone through this understands how emotional this experience is. The entire staff went above and beyond to help us get through this ordeal. They understood what we were going through reacted accordingly. We left with her little paw print and days later received a card in the mail from the clinic. Considering this was a middle of the night emergency and the care she was given, I didn't think the cost was that high. Any time you go to a 24 hour clinic of any kind, you expect to pay more. It was worth every penny to me for her to have been helped by a staff that did everything in her power to help her quickly and comfortably.

Wonderful staff - saved the dog who I brought in on emergency. While I had wished for a Good Samaritan discount since it wasn’t my pet, I didn’t get it.. price was high but that’s pretty standard for this service. The staff ensured me of the dogs well being, saved her then got her into a rehab place until she could be homed. Really impressed with the care and attention to this case all around.

I ended up deciding to take my dog here after continuously transferring her within Fort Smith. I am so glad to have taken her here, the doctor who cared for her genuinely cared. I had to make a tough decision but honesty and upfront was something I continuously wanted but never received until I met this doctor and took my sweet angel here. I highly recommend taking your vet if they're needing continuous care.
