Aros Lowinger

Donor

Hi! My name is Aros! I’m an English Mastiff who was adopted about a year and a half ago after my family first fostered me through Great Plains Mastiff Rescue. I’m a pretty laid-back guy, and one of my favorite activities is—of course—sleeping! I also love all kinds of treats, so you could say I’m easy to please.

I especially enjoy my therapy visits, where I get to meet new people and share some gentle Mastiff love. At home, my best friend is Pixie, another English Mastiff who keeps me company.

My family chose to enroll me in the donor program because they come from a medical background and understand how important blood donation can be. I’m happy to do my part and help other pets in need!

Athena Jones

Donor

Hello! My name is Athena! I am a 5 almost 6 year old lab/German shepherd mix. I have been with my mom since she was 18 and I was 3 months old. I love playing fetch, going on car rides for a pup cup and going to my moms work. My mom says I’m the most loving girl, so when she heard about the blood donor program she knew that I would be a perfect fit for it! I have so much love to give and couldn’t wait to help other pups in need!

Audrey Vinson

Donor

My name is Audrey, and I am 5 years old. I love my people more than myself. I also love to do nose work, chase balls, carry around my favorite stuffed bunny, hang out with my best friend Isla,  and snuggle on the couch. Oh, and of course, eat. I have never met anyone who doesn’t want to take me home. My mom says that I am the most gentle soul on the planet.  If I had a superpower, it would be healing the sick-that’s why I joined the donor program!

Basil Gilstrap

Donor

Hi my name is Basil! My favorite activities include playing with my 4 siblings at home or going swimming at the lake or river with mom and dad! Any kind of food is my favorite kind of food! I love everyone and my booty wiggles are activated when you start scratching! My puppy superpower is bouncy paws, I can jump so high even being as big as I am!

Bennie Land

Donor

Hi, I’m Bennie, but you can also call me Bennie Boo or Bernardo! I love staying active and having fun. Some of my favorite things to do are playing fetch, swimming, hiking, and, of course, snuggling.

I love all kinds of balls, but my absolute favorite place to be is the lake. I especially love being in the water—I’m not a big fan of staying on the boat! When I’m relaxing at home, I enjoy watching fishing on TV and cuddling up with my favorite blankie.

My best friend is my cat sister, Taco. If I had a superpower, it would definitely be finding the perfect stick wherever I go!

I joined the donor program because I want to help other dogs, just like my cousin Sandy, who is also a donor. I’m proud to do my part and help other pups in need!

Carina Boettcher

Donor

I’m Carina! My family has had me for six years after picking me up in Pensacola, Florida. I’m a very loving girl, and I love being around people. One of my favorite things is going for my morning walks around the neighborhood, where I get to say hello to
everyone I meet.

When I’m home, I love watching squirrels run along the fence in our backyard and playing with all the different chew toys I share with my brother, Desi, a 10-year-old Havanese. I also have a special talent for making people laugh—so I guess you could
say that’s my superpower!

Even though I’m a bigger dog, I truly believe I’m a lapdog. I love curling up in my family’s lap and resting my head on their shoulder. I think we both enjoy those cuddles just as much!

I became a donor because my family knows firsthand how important blood donors can be. We once had a Goldendoodle named Lucy who became very ill and needed two blood transfusions every day for five days. Thanks to the generous dogs who donated blood, Lucy got better. Now, I want to pay that kindness forward and help other dogs and their families when they need it most.

Chewie Hughes

Donor

Hello! My name is Chewie, aka Chewshine! My mom  adopted me from a rescue group in Oklahoma about 5 years ago. She saw my picture online and immediately fell in love. Mom adopted me without ever officially meeting me, but we’ve been inseparable since. My mom says I’m the ultimate companion. I’m down for whatever as long as my hoomans are there (with treats of course). It’s hard to have a bad day with me at your side. I’m the sun of the entire house, and my family says they’re all grateful to be in my orbit. I love to carry stuffed toys around then leave them outside in the rain. I really love greeting you with a toy. I’m a momma’s boy to the core, but love going places with other people to greet and get some good sniffs, too. When my mom heard about the Animal Blood Bank, she knew I was a perfect candidate. Several years ago, my  brother needed several life saving blood transfusions, while I never actually got to meet Leo, I’m so excited to give back to the community that helped him.

Emmy Allred

Donor

Hi, I’m Emmy, although my family also calls me Emmy Lou, Roo Roo, and Rooskers! I’ve been part of my family for five years, and I have quite the story. When I was about eight weeks old, my four littermates and I were found tied up in a trash bag and left on the side of a dirt road. My mom had just lost her dog when a coworker found us and brought me to her. It turned out to be the beginning of a very happy life together!

These days, some of my favorite activities include eating, hanging out in my kennel, going to the dog park, and getting my booty scratched. My favorite place to be is snuggled up in bed with my mom or my oldest sister, Chloe, who is also my very best
friend.

If I had a superpower, I know exactly what it would be: cleaning food off the floor in the blink of an eye! I’m pretty sure my family would consider that a very useful talent.

I became a donor because I want to help other pets! I know how lucky I am to have found my family, and I’m happy to give back and help other pets get the care they need

Granger Benson

Donor

Granger is the sweetest dog. He is his mom’s best friend and he goes everywhere with her. He comforts her if she is sad, he gets excited with her when she is happy and he takes a nap with her if she is tired. He is always learning new things and his mom is so proud of him. He loves to play and has a lot of friends. He loves to travel and go on adventures. He enjoys kayaking, swimming, hiking and playing in waterfalls. He also loves the snow. Granger has a great personality, and he is always ready to go have some fun

Karma Belcher

Donor

I’m Karma! My family also calls me Barma and Parmesan! I’ve been with my family since I was eight weeks old. I came from a breeder in Minnesota, and both of my
parents are titled hunting dogs.

I’m happiest when I’m outside, especially if there’s water involved! I love playing fetch, swimming, and exploring trails around Bella Vista. My motto is simple: ball is life! My best friend is Bones, a White Swiss Shepherd, and we love spending time together.

If I could have any superpower, I think I’d want the ability to heal people just by looking at them. I absolutely love people and especially love giving hugs!

I joined the donor program after learning that one of my friends is a blood donor. I thought it was such an amazing way to give back and help other pets in need, and I wanted to be part of it too.

I also have a very special job. I’m a task trained service dog for my person, helping with disabilities they acquired during their time in the military. Being there for my person is one of the most important things I do! Now, I’m excited to help other pets and their families, too!

Koda Mitchell

Donor

Howdy, I’m Koda! I’ve been with my family for three years, and I’m proud to say I’m a foster fail. My family may have started out as my foster family, but I quickly decided they were my forever family!

I love being active and spending time outside. Some of my favorite things are hiking, running around the yard, and, after all that activity, settling in for a nice long nap. I’m also a big fan of french fries and my favorite rope toy.

My favorite place to be is in anyone’s lap. I don’t care if you’re my dad, a family member, or a friend—I’m always happy to squeeze in for some cuddles!

I joined the donor program because I want to help out and be there for other pets when they need it most. I’m happy to do my part!

Mark Duffy

Donor

Hey there, I’m Mark! I’m a very active Golden Retriever, and I love going everywhere with my human and making new friends—both human and animal.

My absolute favorite activity is swimming. If there’s a body of water nearby, I want to be in it! The one exception is bath time. I also love hiking, running, and shredding cardboard boxes. My favorite toy is my Kong Wubba, which I’m completely obsessed with, and string cheese is definitely my favorite treat.

I’m happiest anywhere people are willing to give me attention. My best friend, though, is my feline brother, Scout. We love snuggling together, especially when I’m taking over the entire couch or bed.

If I could have a superpower, I’d want to read minds. I’d always know exactly what everyone was thinking—and when they were thinking about giving me cheese!

When I’m out in public, I’m quite well behaved (thanks in part to those cheese rewards!) and I’ve even started competing in dog sports like AKC Rally.

I joined the donor program because my human works as a veterinary assistant and has seen firsthand how important blood products can be for pets in emergency situations. Sometimes those products can be scarce, so I’m proud to be able to help pets in my community when they need it most!

Max Carothers

Donor

Hello! My name is Max, sometimes I go by Maxi or Smacks. I’m a sweet, silly,  gentle giant that was rescued at Big Paws in 2023. I love chasing balls and getting in the water, in fact if I could have a superpower, it would definitely be to breathe underwater! My mom found out about the donor program and thought it was a great opportunity for me to help save other dogs in need!

Meryl Dorado

Donor

Hi! My name is Meryl! Mom calls me a ‘Pandemic Puppy’; it’s supposed to mean I am really spoiled and love hanging out with people! My favorite people to hang out with is my Grammie and Papa. Papa takes me on a walk every day and Grammie feeds me so many yummy treats like milk bones, hot dogs or my favorite, fresh marrow bones straight from the butchers!! I love going swimming on the river, for car rides or hikes and I always look forward to daycare or bath day at Marcy’s in Gentry!

Milo Horsey

Donor

Myles Coalson

Donor

Hello, my name is Myles! I’m a 3-year-old Golden Retriever, all the way from Jacksonville, Florida. My mom is a veterinary technician, so I’ve been around a clinic my whole life and I LOVE getting to hang out with new friends. I spend most days cuddling with my cat brother, Petey, and going for walks around campus at the University of Arkansas! I love playing fetch with my glow-in-the-dark Chuck-it ball, and my spider (which mom has had to buy replacements for many times). I’m a big people person but love all of my dog friends and having play dates!  I ate something bad in April of 2023 and the Emergency Clinic had to operate to help me. My Mom was so grateful! We enrolled in the donor program to help out other pets!

Remington Efendi

Donor

Hi my name is Remi! I am very friendly and love everybody! My best friend is my sister Razzie Pie, we love to play and snuggle! Sometimes mom will even take me to one of my favorite places, the Good Dog Cafe!

Rita Boone

Donor

Hi, I’m Rita! I’m a 6 year old standard poodle. I live in Fayetteville with my mom, dad, and little brother (okay fine, he’s twice my age!) Bruce. These days, I spend my time lounging on the couch and occasionally chasing a deer or two. In the summer, though, you can’t get me out of the water! My mom takes me to my grandma’s pool, the river, the lake, and one time we even went to the ocean! I could spend the rest of my life swimming if they let me. I have 3 poodle cousins that I hang with, too. You might be wondering how I became a cyclops- it’s a very boring story, really. They think I got an infection behind it from chewing on a stick or something. Then, there it went! Oh well, I don’t even miss it. Anyway, that’s me! My mom says they need my blood and I think that’s pretty cool. Those pups can have my extra as long as I have enough to keep swimming!

Sandy Verel

Donor

Hi! My name is Sandy aka Sandy Cheeks or SanSan! My parents do not know much about me before meeting me early March of 2021. All they know about me was that I was skinny and had just had puppies. I met my best friend and sister Anoek at the Springdale Animal Shelter when they brought her to meet me before taking me to my furever home. I was a very shy girl at first. It took me a few months to come out of my shell. Now I love to play with my sister, swim in the pool my mom has for us, and go on walks with my sister even though her walks get shorter as she is getting older. I love to lay by the front door and watch people walk by and keep up on the neighborhood gossip. I FaceTime my grandma and grandpa in Florida every week. My grandma even comes and stays with us when mom and dad leave for a long time. I love to snuggle up on the couch and fall backward into my mom’s arms for snuggle sessions on the couch. I love Starbucks pup cups, I did not know what they were at first, but now I love them! I do not like to play with toys, but I like to jump over my sister while she waits for someone to throw her toy and then I chase her and run around her as fast as I can. I’m super-fast, Dad can never catch me when we play!  My awesome Vet told my Mom about the donor program, and I was promised lots of cheese for participating!

Wyld Sawyer

Donor

Hi! I’m Wyld Stallyns (pause for air guitar) my family calls me Wyld, WyWy, WySty. I am a young labradoodle that loves to spend her time being carried like a toddler, even though I’m almost 70 lbs. My tail is still my mortal enemy, even if I’ve had it my whole life. I spend most of my days hanging out with my best friends at Hounds Lounge or with my best cousin, Prince Doctis.

I live by the creed: “Be excellent to each other, and party on dudes!
